Cub Fall Encampment

Is our first opportunity for New Cubs to explore Camp V-Bar, spend the two nights camping in a tent and participate in an assortment of fun activities around camp while meeting Cub Scouts from all over our Council.

Thanksgiving Camp

Welcome to the Camp V-Bar Thanksgiving program - a different approach than typical resident camps.  The Merit Badge sessions will primarily be in a “vertical” schedule where each Merit Badge is completed within a day – similar to Merit Badge colleges.

Winter Camp

Got a new tent for Christmas?  Come try it out at V-Bar Winter Camp!  Knock out those Eagle required and STEM merit badges at the coolest camp on the calendar.  And, if you are coming from up north, escape the blizzard, and come experience Christmas time in the gulf south.

Cub World

Our spring campout offers Cubs the opportunity to test the skills they have been learning throughout the year in the Pack and Den meetings.  Cubs will participate in a wide range of activities around Camp V-Bar including Archery, BB’s, games, crafts and much more.  Cub World also offers a specialized Webelos program for our older Cubs.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp, the highlight of the scouting year!  So many activities and only one week to try to get them all in! You’ll want to come back for a second week!  With merit badge classes in the morning, open activity time in the afternoon, and lots of fun surprises throughout the week, your scout will be talking about their experience long after camp ends! Take a nature hike, swim in the pool, shoot at the ranges, practice Scoutcraft, climb the rock wall, take out a canoe or kayak, learn chess on a really big chessboard, stop by the trading post, and make new friends along the way.  Summer Camp at Camp V-Bar has something for everyone, including the adults!

Webelos Adventure Camp

This camp, offered during the summer, is an opportunity for our Webelos and AOL Scouts to get a feel as to how it will be to be a Scouts BSA once they cross over.  Webelos and AOLs attend with their leaders and participate in selection of electives and rank requirements taught by our Summer Camp Staff.

Cub Scout Day Camps

These one-week programs are offered in several locations around Council, and give Cub Scouts the opportunity to begin work on their newly acquired ranks.  Cub Scout Day Camps offer activities such as shooting sports, games, crafts, and special presentations.  Each camp will vary in activities due to location, volunteers and director preference.
