2025 Bayou District Golden Eagle Fête Honoring
Sheriff Timothy Soignet and Greg Stock
Thursday, April 10, 2025, 6-9 p.m. Bayou Terrebonne Distillers 8043 Main Street, Houma, LA

Sheriff Timothy Soignet, born in Houma and is the youngest of five children of Magdelene and Raoul Soignet. He is married to Melanie Soignet and has three children Aaron, Haley, and Jessie, a grandson Bryson, and a granddaughter Marie. After graduating from H.L. Bourgeois High School in 1985, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He attended Infantry Training School at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and served as an Infantryman in 6th Marine Regiment. In March of 2006, Timothy retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving more than 20 years. After his retirement, Timothy returned to Houma, where he embarked on a full-time position with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office. On March 13th of 2006, he attended Terrebonne Parish Regional Law Enforcement Academy and was assigned as a Uniformed Patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer (FTO), and Special Weapons and Tactics operator (SWAT) Sniper for over two years before being permanently assigned to the training academy in 2008 as an Academy Staff Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and SWAT Operator Sniper. In 2012, he was assigned as the Director of the Terrebonne Parish Regional Law Enforcement Academy, Commander of the SWAT Team, and Commander of the Honor Guard. December of 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Major and assigned as Uniform Patrol Commander. He has also volunteered his time as a Houma-Terrebonne Toys for Tots coordinator, a member of the Houma-Terrebonne Marine Corps League, American Legion, Brothers in Blue, and The National Rifle Association. Timothy began his role as the Sheriff of Terrebonne Parish on July 1, 2020.

Stock became Chief Executive Officer of Thibodaux Regional Health System in 1990. Thibodaux Regional has experienced significant growth under Stock’s “results-oriented” leadership, and he has brought the medical center to a significantly higher level of performance. While CEO Greg Stock recognizes his duty to inspire Thibodaux Regional’s vast family of employees, he often finds his own inspiration to lead comes from them. Committed to providing top-quality healthcare, Thibodaux Regional Health System continuously lives up to its excellent reputation by focusing on the betterment of the health and well-being of the region. The Health System, led by CEO Greg Stock, has advanced remarkably through the addition of a leading-edge Cancer Institute, a state-of-the-art Sports Complex, and an innovative Wellness Center. Greg Stock is heavily involved in the community and in his church, dedicating his time to making a positive impact in the area. His efforts are recognized by various organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Nicholls State University, and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Greg represented Thibodaux Regional on a number of boards including the United Way, the Louisiana Emergency Response Network, and The Haven while engaging staff to also participate in supporting the vast, five-parish community. His honors include Best of Lafourche Excellence in Healthcare, Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce Frank Kennedy Citizen of the Year Award, and the Harvey Peltier Award, among others. In 2021, Stock was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Commerce from Nicholls State University in recognition of his leadership resulting in the growth of Thibodaux Regional as well as his dedication to the health and well-being of citizens of the Bayou Region.

Organization Facts - The Southeast Louisiana Council, Scouting America will provide youth development and leadership programs to approximately 4,000 young people in 9 Parishes through Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Exploring programs during 2024.
Investments in this event will provide:

  • Direct service to Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venture Crews, and Explorer Posts – Unit Organization, Youth Recruitment, Volunteer Training, Service to Volunteers, Staff Assistance
  • Program Services – Camping, Activities, Training, Insurance
  • Support Services – Office Support, Equipment, Salmen Scout Reservation, Camp V-Bar

Funds to help youth in need experience the wonderful opportunity Scouting provides.
